All products shipped directly from our factories are typically less than 1 year old from the date of manufacture. PCA's "Shelf Life Policy" guarantees these parts to pass "Solderability" testing, up to (2) years from the date of delivery, when the following storage conditions are maintained:

•  Temperature 5°C to 30°C.
•  Relative humidity below 60%
•  Original sealed bag

Tape and Reel

All SMT devices sealed in Tape and Reel and are Dry-Packed with a humidity indicator card (HIC) and a desiccant pouch.

The moisture sensitive card is chemically printed and will change color from blue to pink when the indicated relative humidity is exceeded. This will help determine the level of moisture the device was subjected to. A desiccant pouch is used to maintain a low relative humidity.

Tape and Reel has a minimum shelf life of 1 year from the bag sealed date, when stored in a noncondensing atmospheric environment of <40°C/90%RH. Storing material at lower temperatures with dry air can further prolong solderability.

Intermediate containers are marked with sealed date.
